Apply Outside of the U.S.: Canadians can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with supporting documents (no visa stamp required); Mexicans must apply at a U.S. consulate to obtain a TN visa before entering the U.S.

Nonimmigrant Intent Required: TN visa holders must maintain the intent to return home and cannot have dual intent like H-1B holders.
